I am a metal artist & silversmith. My work is inspired by the shapes and textures of natural forms and landscapes: fragments of sea-worn shells, the rock formations of a battered coastline, a curl of split bark, the dancing light and shadow of woodland. I also draw inspiration directly from the characteristics of the materials I use, working intuitively, allowing the medium to suggest a direction and to find a relationship with the subject matter.
From 2019 all new work in silver will be made using 100% certified recycled silver. Gold leaf is sourced from a supplier with 'conflict free certification'.
I work from my studio in rural Herefordshire and exhibit in the UK and internationally in galleries, at exhibitions and art fairs. My work can been seen in public collections, including The Victoria & Albert Museum and Manchester City Art Gallery.
